Instructional Technologist

The Instructional Technologist is an entry level position responsible for creating online courses, webmaster duties, and technology support for USATF education programs. Educational programs will encompass a wide audience that includes athletes, coaches, sports medicine, sport science professionals, officials, race directors, volunteers, and parents.
 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Organizes, collects, and edits assets (photography, audio, and video footage) to be used in education programs, courses, and resources. 
  • Creates online courses in Articulate 360 working with volunteers, contractors, and staff. 
  • Publishes e-learning courses, articles, and resources to online USATF platforms. 
  • Learning Management System (LMS) administrator for all coaching education programs. 
  • Maintains online course catalog, exam question banks, learning pathways, and database records. 
  • Creates course evaluations and analyzes reporting to track, assess, and report on effectiveness of coaching education programs and instructors.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline, simplify, and improve member experiences within the LMS and membership platform (Sport80).
  • Stays abreast and researches latest educational technologies, instructional design, and innovative tools. ·       Provides technical support to members, contractors, and internal staff. 
  • Assists with administering virtual webinars, onsite schools, and USATF events.  
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, major or minor in adult education, instructional design, or education technology a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud for graphics and video editing, virtual meeting and LMS platforms, and course authoring tools (Articulate 360).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Content Management Systems (CMS) or ability to learn front-end technologies. 
  • Excellent communication, project management skills, and attention to detail.
  •  Knowledge of track & field; previous volunteer, coaching, or athletic experience a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40 pounds  
NON-PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 
Available for travel and working 6-8 weekends a year
