Summary:
Recruits, directs and coordinates coach training and staff for the Nexus programming, in the contracted region(s) of Pennsylvania and New Jersey in consultation with the Nexus National Office to maximize the business plan. Facilitates the overall consistent, high quality delivery of the Nexus program and strategic initiatives.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and manage a network of coaches, trained in the USA Way, that can support the contracted regions Nexus training sites and selection camps.
- Oversee the delivery of the Nexus curriculum to ensure commonality of language and coaching philosophy aligned in the USA Way.
- Lead the talent identification process to ensure athletes are being placed into the correct stage of development, Emerge, Aspire, Perform and Elite, at the conclusion of each training weekend.
- Oversee format and execution of the regional selection camp to ensure the established selection process is followed.
- Coordinate equipment needs for training weekends and selection camp as distributed by presenting sponsor and/or national office.
- Be available in person or on call during training weekends.
- Participate in virtual regular meetings with the National Office as needed.
- Assume leadership of Super Region starting December 1st following initiatives set by the national office.

Minimum Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications
- Intimate knowledge and live in the contracted region(s): Pennsylvania and New Jersey
- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with co-workers, coaches, athletes, and the public.
- Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.
- High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
- A flexible team player with the ability to work successfully in a changing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner in accordance with policies, programs, and guidelines to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
Licensure & Certification:
- USA Field Hockey Level II coaching certification or willingness to complete in agreed upon time frame.
