The USA Boxing Strength and Conditioning Intern will be provided an opportunity to work in a high-performance setting at one of the premier performance facilities in the world.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Sport Performance Director and Strength and Conditioning Coach with essential tasks to ensure performance of athletes
- Assist in set up of weight room, and any other training location being utilized by the Sports performance staff
- Help utilize and integrate Hawkins, Polar, and VALD technologies via Athlete 360 to gather and interpret data on athlete wellness
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in USA Boxing Performance space as well as USOPC performance space
- Assist with instruction on correct exercise technique with the guidance of the Sports Performance Staff
Qualifications
Ability to perform work on site at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs
- Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Interest in Combat Sports
- Passion for Strength and Conditioning/Exercise Science
Preferred qualifications
Certified, Pursuing, or plan to get NSCA CSCS or CSCCA or other equivalent certification
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- Enrolled in relevant academic program
