Summary

The main function of the High Performance Coordinator is to provide support to USA Boxing’s High Performance Teams through the organization and management of USA’s participation in training camps and international competitions. The High Performance Coordinator works closely with all High Performance Staff.

 Essential Job Functions
  • Manage the travel logistics and operations of National Team training camps and competitions.
  • Manage expenditures of assigned program budgets, notifying High Performance Director & Assistant HP Director - Operations of potential overages and/or savings.
  • Serve as Team Manager at training camps and international High Performance Team events, upon request.
  • Assist with High Performance team apparel and equipment management to ensure that all items are properly inventoried, organized, and ordered as needed.
  • Assist High Performance staff with the development of athlete profiles for Youth High Performance Team boxers.
  • Attend national events upon request to assist with execution of High Performance meetings and educational workshops, as well as oversee USADA testing when necessary.
  • Assist High Performance Manager with oversight of USA Boxing’s USADA registered testing pool to ensure all athletes are in compliance and assist with initial filing failures as needed.
  • In conjunction with High Performance Coaching staff, manage all High Performance technological equipment, including the national gym camera system, and catalog international competition footage to lead the development of a comprehensive international scouting library. 
  • Provide assistance to membership, via phone and email, regarding National Team inquiries.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required
Experience
  • Previous high performance or event experience with an NGB or the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee is preferred, such as a high performance/event coordinator or internship
Skills and Competencies Required
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Leadership ability
  • Strong technology skills, including use of PCs and Microsoft Office products. Dartfish experience a plus.

Position Type:                               Non-Exempt, Regular, Full-time
Reports to:                                    Assistant High Performance Director – Operations (w/ input from HP Manager)
Starting Compensation:               $21.00/hour + Full Benefits Package
Working conditions:                     Office building with cubicle; Typical schedule is M-F, 8am to 5pm, 1 hour for lunch; Overtime is likely required during and leading up to major events; Travel may be required multiple times a year; some trips could be 1-2 weeks.
