Position: Marketing & Sponsorship Activation Manager
Location: Remote (with ~20% travel) Status: Full-time (40 hrs/week) Supervisor: Director of Partner & Sponsor Development

Summary:
USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) is seeking a Marketing & Sponsorship Activation Manager to support marketing initiatives and deliver world-class partnerships on the Olympic stage. In this role, you’ll help power the journey of Team USA athletes by bringing sponsor commitments to life through events, digital media, and athlete-driven storytelling. From thrilling race-day activations to behind-the-scenes content, you’ll play a key role in connecting partners and athletes in two of the world’s most exciting winter sports.
USA Bobsled/Skeleton is dedicated to providing an athlete-focused training environment, built on the development of the whole athlete. USABS strives to be the world leader in bobsled and skeleton training, competition, and athlete well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a culture of passion, teamwork, support, innovation, transparency, and clear communication throughout all aspects of USABS
- Provide a safe, positive and ethical environment for all athletes, coaches, and staff members
- Inspire and support athletes in their pursuit of excellence through communication, actions, and decision-making
- Manage and track all partnership fulfillment requirements, including but not limited to:
- Logo placement, branded photo and video content, social media content, partner quotes, testimonials, and press releases, athlete appearances, signage, bobsled/skeleton passenger rides, and promotional activations
- Serve as primary contact for sponsors, ensuring timely communication and seamless planning and execution of initiatives
- Plan and execute sponsor-focused photo/video shoots
- Collaborate with photographers and videographers to capture content for partner usage
- Develop authentic social media content featuring athletes and partners
- Create and maintain an annual sponsorship content calendar in collaboration with the Digital Media & Communications Manager
- Track deliverables and deadlines in project management tools (Asana or similar)
- Maintain a comprehensive database of partner and sponsor contacts and contracts
- Develop and manage the annual USABS fulfillment calendar to track partnership activities
- Collaborate with USABS staff on relationship touchpoint schedules with partners, sponsors, board of directors, and athletes
- Plan and coordinate annual gifts, season wrap-up communications, and general sponsor engagement campaigns
- Assist in planning and executing partner hospitality at USABS races and events with the New York Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) and the Utah Olympic Park (UOP)
- Organize and distribute incoming sponsored mail/packages and arrange and track distribution of sponsored products
- Collaborate across departments to support USABS communications, branding, and fan engagement
- Coordinate wrap-up campaigns and annual partner appreciation efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, sports management, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in marketing, sponsorship activation, or partnership management (sports/event background preferred)
- Proven ability to create branded content and manage social media campaigns
- Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills
- Comfortable balancing creative storytelling with logistical detail
- Willingness to travel (~20%) and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Successful background check and SafeSport Training required
Skills and Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong project management experience
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
- Familiarity with Asana, Canva, google suite, and Dropbox or similar project management tools
- Customer service and relationship-building mindset
- Experience in sports, event coordination, and/or partnership activation preferred
- Adhere to USABS code of conduct, policies, procedures, bylaws, U.S.
- Center for SafeSport policies
Hours of Work:
The nature of the position demands flexible hours until work is completed to meet the requirements, including but not limited to working extended hours, evenings, and weekends, particularly in-season and during off-season camps.
