POSITION SUMMARY
USA Lacrosse is looking for a Membership Coordinator to join our Membership & Regional Growth team. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing customer-first focused support to all USA Lacrosse members and constituents while supporting the operations and sales for the Regional Growth team. The Membership Coordinator is the first line of support, ensuring member interactions are positive and their inquiries are resolved in a timely and professional manner. In this administrative support role, you will assist with a wide range of member requests and queries via phone, email, and chat, including membership inquiries, questions about events, questions about membership, support for Program Leaders, and assistance with basic technical support and website navigation.

The Membership Coordinator also provides support to the Regional Managers to ensure an effective and thorough sales process, allowing the Regional Managers to have a greater bandwidth so they can engage with, retain, and acquire members to grow USAL’s membership base. This role provides behind the scenes support for department operations and administrative tasks to help drive sales and allow our members to see a return on their investment.

Membership Support & Relations
Membership Support & Relations
- Serves as the first point of contact for inquiries from USAL members and constituents, providing customer-first focused service via phone, email, and chat, ensuring their inquiries are resolved in a positive, professional, and timely manner. This includes ensuring accurate member data and escalating matters of importance to the appropriate team member and/or department as needed.
- Acts as a key liaison for member and prospect engagement across regions, ensuring they are connected with the Regional Manager for their region. This includes supporting acquisition and retention activities.
- Responds to member communications, ensuring any necessary coordination with the regional growth team and other departments throughout USAL to ensure thorough and accurate information is provided.
- Partners cross-departmentally to plan and execute member activations, events, and campaigns to appreciate members and promote the value of a USAL membership, ensuring a community feel.
- Regularly attends USAL events to represent the organization, ensuring members and attendees have an exceptional experience.
Regional Sales & Program Support
- Provides support to the regional leadership and development team to drive effectiveness in the sales process, operations, administration, and project management of USA Lacrosse's programs and initiatives.
- Supports the region and Regional Manager they are assigned to in managing accounts and prospects, including verbal and written follow-up and project management of regional initiatives. This includes ensuring data integrity and completing membership related tasks to ensure member compliance.
- Monitors, measures, and reports on any challenges/areas of opportunity/trends across all USAL media assets. This includes communicating related feedback, along with making recommendations for solutions as appropriate, to the regional growth team leadership.
- Manages logistics for key events including the USAL events and regional events/conferences.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Supports the regional development team and member organizations by providing administrative support so they have a greater bandwidth to engage, retain, and acquire current and prospective members. This includes providing training to member organizations, calendar management, event planning, meeting preparations, and cross-departmental collaboration to collect and disseminate information.
- Assists with membership inquiries and issues, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with internal departments.
- Maintains SOPs, forms, and collateral for membership and regional programs. This includes overseeing and maintaining inventory levels for membership products.
- Facilitates and tracks the annual grant process with sport development, DEI, coach development, and officials’ development.
- Collaborates with internal departments to coordinate and organize membership related events and initiatives in their assigned region.
Is This You…
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in an administrative or operations capacity, preferably in a membership, constituent services, donor relations, sales/marketing, public relations, or project management environment.
- Previous work experience in a non-profit, association management firm, or other member-based organization a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM preferred.
- Enthusiastic self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and comfort with a growth mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow through and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written. This includes experience and comfort providing customer support via phone, email, and chat.
- Ability to listen to member/customer/prospect needs and provide feedback to the regional staff for the development of projects and presentations.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must possess a strong “customer first” attitude.
- Ability to exercise the appropriate level of discretion and judgement with the capability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information and materials.
- Ability to present a professional persona and presence to build interpersonal relationships and establish credibility externally.
- Ability to be flexible with your work schedule, including the ability to work some nights and weekends based on USAL events.
- Willingness to learn about the sport of lacrosse and appreciate the need for developing funds to fuel its development and growth.

Expected Hours of Work
This position is generally expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and occasionally requires longer hours or weekend work as related to events and other business needs. This is a hybrid position and works from the headquarters office in Sparks, MD three (3) days a week with the flexibility to work from home two (2) days a week.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
The hourly pay range for this role is $18 to $20 per hour with potential for annual incentive pay, commensurate with experience.
