POSITION SUMMARY
The Intern, Digital Media, works closely with the Digital Media team and the marketing and communications team to produce digital media content to support USA Lacrosse’s marketing and social media initiatives. This internship is eligible to receive college credits.
USA Lacrosse is looking for a talented and enthusiastic student aspiring to enter the sports digital media industry. This unpaid internship will allow you to learn about sports marketing, essential digital media marketing best practices, and how to collaborate with multiples departments. You will gain professional experience while working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that will help you be successful in your future career.
A Typical Day Looks Like…
- Assists with shooting video and photo content at USA Lacrosse events.
- Edits and enhances photos and videos using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Premiere Pro to achieve professional-quality results.
- Maintains an organized library of digital media assets, including properly labeling and storing files for easy retrieval and future use on USA Lacrosse’s data asset management system.
- Collaborates with the digital media team to ensure consistency in visual style and branding across all content.
- Assist with other digital media tasks as needed, such as social media content creation and multimedia production.
- Serves as production assistant for SR Producer and Producer of Digital Media at content shoots as directed.
Is This You…
- Actively pursuing a college degree, preferably in digital media, communications, marketing, or related field.
- Ability to dedicate 15 to 30 hours per week from September through December 2025.
- Demonstrated knowledge for sports, preferable lacrosse, with a desire to learn and understand.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital media software and editing platforms.
- Working knowledge of Sony DSLR family.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, Media Encoder).
- Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for digital media and content creation with a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic, cross-functional team working toward a common goal.
- Flexibility with your work schedule, including the ability to work nights and weekends based on event needs.
- Must live/go to school within commutable distance from USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, MD.
- Align with USA Lacrosse's Mission, Vision, and Values and Strategic Plan to support our initiatives and organizational goals.
Expected Hours of Work
This internship will begin in September and end in December (before the holiday break). The Intern, Digital Media will be required to work between 15 and 30 hours per week (hours will vary each week based on USA Lacrosse event schedule), Monday through Friday with flexible hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm. There will be occasional requirements for longer hours during the week and/or on weekends based on events and other business needs. This is a hybrid position and will work from the headquarters office in Sparks, MD with the flexibility to work from home (remote) as well.
