SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST

CLASSIFICATION: Year-round; Full-time
FLSA: Exempt 
REPORTS TO: Social Media Manager 
LOCATION: Park City, Utah 
TRAVEL: 10%

U.S. Ski & Snowboard is seeking a Social Media Specialist. This is a full-time position eligible for our full benefits package, including medical insurance and retirement. For inquiries or help with your application, please email [email protected].

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE 
U.S. Ski & Snowboard is looking for a Social Media Specialist to contribute to the team’s social media channels. You will be joining a team that executes a social media strategy to maximize reach and grow the audience.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
-       Create, curate and deploy content across all U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team social media platforms regularly with a focus on video, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads and LinkedIn
-       Community manage social platforms and look for opportunities to engage with brands, athletes and influencers 
-       Execute a social media calendar, including event promotion, results, milestones and sponsorship fulfillment, amongst others 
-       Collaborate with internal Creative, Communications/Marketing, Partnership, Events, Foundation and Athletic teams to fill content calendar
-       Work with content creators (videographers, photographers, press officers, photo services) to curate and deliver content on social platforms and identify tactics for deployment 
-       Monitor and report on analytics, including engagement, views, sentiment, etc. 
-       Proactively identify relevant industry happenings, cultural trends and leaders to help expand content plans and improve brand awareness
-       Seek and evaluate opportunities to stay at the forefront of new trends, tools and channels

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE  
-       Required
-       1+ years of social media experience for a brand across platforms
-       Education in Marketing, English, Advertising, Business or related fields
-       Strong video editing skills 
-       Proactive, organized, detail-oriented
-       Able to work hard on tight deadlines and in a live, fast-paced environment at non-traditional hours
-       A passion for social media and current trends, along with knowledge of best practices and how to optimize content to help create growth
-       Ability to build relationships with athletes, influencers and brands  

-       Preferred
-       Have an understanding of U.S. Ski & Snowboard sports, Olympic and Paralympic sports, athletes and organization
-       Experience with tools and analytics related to evaluating social success 
-       Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and social scheduling tools 
-       Experience in influencer marketing, campaigns and platforms
