IT OPERATIONS & SYSTEMS INTERN
CLASSIFICATION Seasonal; Full-time Summer Internship
(Approximately 40 hours per week for ~12 weeks, May–July with flexibility into August)
FLSA Nonexempt
REPORTS TO Director of Information Technology. Intern will work closely with IT team.
LOCATION Park City, Utah (Hybrid work scheduled)
Interns will be responsible for their own housing and transportation arrangements
SALARY $20
SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE
The IT Operations & Systems Support Intern will assist the Information Technology team in improving documentation, asset management, and operational analytics across the organization. During the internship, the student will contribute to projects that strengthen internal systems and support the organization’s technical infrastructure. Interns participate in a structured summer program that includes mentorship, collaboration across departments, and exposure to the broader organization. At the end of the internship, students present their work and recommendations to department leadership.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Support development and expansion of the IT knowledge base by creating and organizing internal documentation and support guides.
● Assist with inventory audits and asset management to maintain accurate records of IT equipment and systems.
● Analyze IT support ticket data to identify trends and provide insights that can improve service delivery and response times.
● Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to support operational tasks and ongoing initiatives.
● Assist with documentation, process improvement, and other technical support initiatives as needed.
● Utilize and support organizational technology platforms including Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Cloudflare, Drupal CMS, Jira, generative AI tools, and internal systems leveraging Java and MSSQL to assist with documentation, operational support, and process improvement initiatives.
● Prepare a final presentation summarizing project outcomes, insights, and recommendations.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
● Current junior, senior, or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics, or a related field.
● Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
● High attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
● Basic familiarity with IT troubleshooting concepts or technical support environments.
● Interest in IT operations, systems administration, or service management.
● Ability to analyze data and identify patterns or trends.
● Professional communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
