U.S. FIGURE SKATING & U.S. FIGURE SKATING FOUNDATION U.S. Figure Skating, the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of figure skating, is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. U.S. Figure Skating, a non-profit organization, is a member of the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and the International Skating Union (ISU).
POSITION DESCRIPTION U.S. Figure Skating is seeking a Commercial Marketing Coordinator to support revenue-generating marketing initiatives across merchandise, ticketing, licensing, and key organizational campaigns. This role is responsible for coordinating the merchandise program while supporting marketing initiatives that drive ticket sales, membership growth, fan engagement, and revenue. The ideal candidate is a creative, organized, and data-driven marketer who thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about sports. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, collaboration, and a commitment to achieving revenue targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
MERCHANDISE (50%)
• Coordinate the day-to-day merchandise program for U.S. Figure Skating events and online store, including product assortment, inventory planning, and sales tracking.
• Work with merchandise vendors to coordinate product development, delivery times, quality standards, and event merchandise needs. Assist with merchandise forecasting, inventory management, and post-event sales reporting.
• Coordinate vendor relationships, fulfillment logistics, and merchandise operations.
• Assist with the development of new merchandise collections, athlete collaborations, and promotional campaigns.
MARKETING (50%)
• Support marketing campaigns that drive ticket sales for U.S. Figure Skating events.
• In partnership with Marketing, coordinate initiatives for major events, membership campaigns, fan club, and other organizational priorities.
• Create and execute email marketing campaigns supporting ticket sales, merchandise, membership campaigns, fundraising, and other organizational initiatives.
• Monitor campaign performance and prepare reports with recommendations for optimization.
• Collaborate with internal departments to execute integrated marketing campaigns.
• Provide marketing support for additional initiatives as assigned. U.S. Figure Skating
COMMERCIAL MARKETING COORDINATOR QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, sports management, or related field
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in marketing, merchandising, or related field
• Experience with email marketing platforms and campaign management
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in sports, entertainment, or event marketing
• Familiarity with merchandise operations, inventory management, or retail
• Experience with ticketing platforms and sales strategies
• Knowledge of U.S. Figure Skating events and fan community
LOCATION | Colorado Springs, Colorado (Hybrid)
U.S. Figure Skating has a flexible work environment. Travel will be required for 5-10% of time. Team members are required to work in the office three days per week with this role requiring that as a minimum. Remote work will not be considered for this role.
