About the Role
Are you detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about compliance in sport? Join a mission-driven team at the center of the Olympic and Paralympic movement.

The Compliance Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to U.S. Center for SafeSport requirements, background check protocols, and U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) standards. This position is essential to maintaining USA Triathlon’s integrity, supporting athletes and constituents, and upholding compliance across a highly regulated environment.

You’ll collaborate across departments, support key compliance initiatives, and help strengthen systems that protect athletes and the broader multisport community.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor and enforce SafeSport training and compliance requirements across multiple constituent groups
  • Manage and track background check processes to ensure organizational compliance
  • Stay current on legislative and regulatory updates, ensuring internal policies remain aligned
  • Serve as a primary SafeSport contact, assisting and troubleshooting for constituents
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline compliance processes
  • Develop and distribute compliance communications to internal teams, board members, and external stakeholders
  • Administer annual conflict of interest disclosures for staff, board members, and committees
  • Support annual SafeSport audits and compliance reviews
  • Maintain accurate compliance-related content on the organization’s website
  • Assist with ongoing compliance projects and initiatives as directed by Legal leadership

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in legal, compliance, or sports-related compliance preferred
  • Interest in sports administration, compliance, or law strongly preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred

Work Environment
  • Hybrid schedule: In-office Tuesday–Thursday (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM) in Colorado Springs, CO; remote work optional on Mondays and Fridays
  • 10–15% travel required
  • Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
