Position Summary:
Zawyer Sports is seeking an experienced, results-driven Vice President of Corporate Partnership Sales to directly drive new business sponsorship sales across its portfolio of teams and properties. This executive-level role is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing multi-faceted corporate partnerships that leverage the full breadth of Zawyer’s assets—including venue signage, digital media, social platforms, traditional media, promotions, and hospitality.
This position will be based in Charlott, North Carolina and will primarily focus on properties located in the Southeastern U.S., with one property in Tahoe, Nevada. The VP, Corporate Partnership Sales will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and work collaboratively with internal leadership, team presidents, marketing, and operations to maximize partnership revenue and activation success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage new business prospects, build relationships with key decision-makers, and conduct the sales process from initial outreach through contract execution.
- Sell integrated sponsorship programs
- Collaborate with internal departments and team leaders to create customized proposals that align with partner objectives and brand goals.
- Maintain a high level of communication with the CRO and executive leadership, providing regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and strategic recommendations.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging platforms to ensure Zawyer’s partnership offerings remain innovative and valuable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of sponsorship sales experience, preferably in professional or minor league sports, live entertainment, or related industries.
- Proven track record of generating significant sponsorship revenue and closing high-value, multi-asset deals.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, digital and social media, and brand partnership activation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
