Role Overview
The UPSHOT League is seeking experienced college- and professional-level basketball statisticians to serve on the official scorer’s table during league games. Statisticians play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of all game statistics in accordance with UPSHOT League standards.
This position requires focus, precision, professionalism, and prior experience working basketball games at the collegiate or professional level.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately record official game statistics (including points, rebounds, assists, fouls, timeouts, and substitutions) in real time
- Operate league-approved statistical software and scorer’s table equipment
- Work collaboratively with officials, scorekeepers, and league operations staff
- Verify and submit completed game statistics immediately following each game
- Uphold UPSHOT League policies, procedures, and professionalism always
Season Dates
- The UPSHOT League season runs from May 15 through August 31, 2026
Schedule & Commitment
- Statisticians will be assigned to 17 total games during the UPSHOT League season
- Availability for all games within the assigned market is required

- Savannah, GA – EnMarket Arena
- Greensboro, NC – Novant Fieldhouse
- Charlotte, NC – Bojangles Coliseum
- Jacksonville, FL – VyStar Memorial Arena
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a statistician for college and/or professional basketball games are preferred
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules, terminology, and statistical categories
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to perform in a fast-paced, live-game environment
- Reliable transportation is required to ensure timely arrival for all assigned games and venues
- Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
