The Greensboro Groove are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic, and dedicated individual to join our team as a Mascot Performer. This unique opportunity allows you to embody our beloved mascot and serve as a vibrant ambassador for the team within the community. You will contribute to creating memorable experiences for fans of all ages while gaining valuable experience in the fast-paced, results-driven world of the UPSHOT League & Greensboro Groove.
Responsibilities
- Perform as the Greensboro Groove mascot at home games and various community events, including but not limited to school visits, hospital visits, corporate functions, charity events, and team appearances.
- Engage with fans, through non-verbal communication, high-fives, photo opportunities, and entertaining antics.
- Maintain the integrity and persona of the mascot character at all times.
- Work closely with the Community Relations Coordinator to fulfill appearance requests and schedule logistics.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down equipment related to mascot appearances.
- Ensure the proper care, maintenance, and cleanliness of the mascot costume.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during appearances.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Physical stamina and agility are required for mascot performance.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license.
- Prior experience with mascot performance is a plus.
Compensation
This is a non-paid internship. Academic credit can be arranged if required by your educational institution. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience in sports entertainment and community relations.
