The Greensboro Groove are a foundational team within The UPSHOT League. Zawyer Sports & Entertainment owns and operates a diverse portfolio of sports properties including the Jacksonville Icemen, Savannah Ghost Pirates, Charlotte Checkers, and more, providing a dynamic environment for growth and cross-brand exposure.

Position Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Account Executive to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in driving ticket revenue and fostering an exceptional fan experience for the Greensboro Groove. As a key member of the sales team, you will generate excitement by selling full and partial season ticket packages, group outings, and entry-level corporate partnerships. This role also includes servicing current ticket holders and building lasting relationships within our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make 70+ outbound contacts daily via phone, email, text, and in-person to sell: Full and partial season ticket packages, group tickets, individual game tickets, and entry-level corporate partnerships.
  • Handle inbound calls and inquiries for ticket sales and customer service.
  • Actively prospect new business through networking, referrals, social platforms, and research.
  • Conduct in-person sales presentations, arena tours, and off-site appointments.
  • Staff sales tables and community events to promote ticket packages and drive leads.
  • Maintain detailed records of all interactions using CRM software.
  • Meet or exceed weekly and monthly individual sales goals.
  • Assist in the renewal process and servicing of existing accounts.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and communication.
  • Help build and grow a strong sales pipeline through creative prospecting and outreach.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to help shape sales strategies, processes, and best practices as the organization grows.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A passion for the sports industry and a strong desire to grow professionally.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where adaptability and initiative are critical.
  • Willingness to learn, be coached, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Exemplify the core characteristics of a strong sales culture, including strong interpersonal skills, prompt and professional follow-through, openness to new ideas and suggestions, and constant enthusiasm toward internal and external contacts.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Support a positive sales culture within the sales team, as well as the entire front office.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Brings energy, creativity, and enthusiasm to building the fan base for the Greensboro Groove.

Game & Event Responsibilities
  • Expected to attend and work all Greensboro Groove games and related events.
  • Interact with clients and prospects at games via seat visits, networking, and sales tables.
  • Assist with the development and execution of in-game promotions and fan experiences.
  • Play an active role in creating a best-in-class game day atmosphere.
