Sales Manager

OBJECTIVE:
UpShot Basketball League is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our ticket sales operations, including season, group, and premium ticketing. This individual will play a key role in developing sales strategies, mentoring sales staff, and driving revenue growth across UpShot Basketball League events. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer at Zawyer Sports & Entertainment. The Sales Manager will be instrumental in building a high-performance sales culture and enhancing fan engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue from season tickets, group sales, and premium experiences.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and community outreach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, community organizations, and key stakeholders.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of group events and ticketing promotions to maximize attendance and fan experience.
  • Represent UpShot Basketball League at games, events, and external networking opportunities.
  • Manage CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to ensure accurate tracking of sales activities and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives with broader league goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Charlotte President and COO.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sports management, business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in ticket sales, preferably in a sports or entertainment setting, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ticketing platforms such as Archtics o is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, especially Salesforce.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for sports and a commitment to delivering exceptional fan experiences.
