Event & Operations Manager – Zawyer Sports Savannah
Reports to Executive Vice President – Savannah
Position Summary:
The Event & Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all game day operations and team-related events, including but not limited to Season Ticket Member events, player appearances, community initiatives, and foundation events. This role ensures that all operational needs are executed efficiently and in alignment with Zawyer Sports policies and procedures. The position plays a key role in supporting game day execution, community engagement efforts, and internal office operations.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Team-related events.
- Manage and execute day-to-day operations including game day activities, community events, fan engagement events and foundation events.
- Compile and distribute detailed event information, by way of service notes, calendar, internal communication, etc.
- Manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Prepare and distribute post event reports following every event.
- Identify cost saving opportunities and implement cost saving produces.
- Monitor and evaluate operational and financial performance and adjust produces as needed.
- Lead weekly meetings with front office staff and arena personnel.
- Communicate regularly with senior leadership to provide updates on performance, challenges and opportunities.
- Assist with financial reports as needed.
- Hire, onboard, train, and supervise part-time staff.
- Oversee the internship program, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling and assigning game day roles.
- Maintain a strong internal communication with the front office and arena/venue personnel.
- Assist with DASH activation, by coordinating patron pick up, mailing items, and communication with patrons regarding their items.
- Manage and allocate personnel, equipment and materials for events.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management or related fields.
- 3+ years of professional experience in sports, entertainment or live event environments.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office & Teams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management.
