Zawyer Sports  - Production Crew Internship

Zawyer Sports & Entertainment are looking for motivated students or recent graduates that are aspiring broadcast & production professionals in the Jacksonville area to join our live-event and studio production team as interns. The Jacksonville Icemen & Waves home games are produced in-house by Zawyer Sports and are responsible for video, audio, graphics, and talent operations. Interns will work directly alongside experienced crew members to learn every side of a live sports broadcast.

This internship is a hands-on opportunity to gain real production experience live production on game nights, build a professional network in sports broadcasting, and develop skills across camera operation, graphics, replay, and technical direction. No prior experience is required for this internship as we're looking for reliable, creative and open-minded team players who are eager to learn and take direction as part of a large working crew.

Available Learning Positions
•        TD/Video Switcher — Shadow and assist on the Ross Carbonite switcher, learning to take direction from the Show Director and follow the scheduled production on Hockey Game or other event Days.
•        Live Camera Operator — Learn to operate one of the broadcast camera positions during Icemen games or other events as needed.
•        Daktronics Graphics Operator — Train on the Daktronics Display Studio graphics player for the main scoreboard and LED ribbons, including daily content load-in and score bug updates.
•        On-Screen Graphics Operator — Get hands-on practice with Xpression, our on-screen graphics generator, for playback of motion graphics and in-game elements.
•        Replay Operator — Learn the Mira Instant Replay software and controller for playback in the arena and on the live stream.

Requirements
•        Current student or recent graduates interested in broadcast, media, or sports production (no specific major required).
•        Previous experience is a plus but not required.
•        Able to commit to long event days depending on position and game schedule.
•        Each position demands different physical requirements: ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs, move with pace around the building, take stairs, and stay on your feet for long periods.
•        Available to work nights, weekends and holidays.


Compensation
This is an unpaid internship; academic credit is available for students who need it. The internship is equally open to students or early-career candidates who are simply looking to gain hands-on experience, with no credit required.
