2025–2026 Season Internship
The Greensboro Gargoyles are seeking highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented candidates for our 2025–2026 Graphic Design Internship. This opportunity is perfect for aspiring designers looking to build their portfolio while gaining hands-on experience in the fast-paced, results-driven environment of the ECHL. All applications will be kept on file until the start of the selected internship program.
Position Overview:
The Graphic Design Intern will work closely with the Marketing and Creative Services teams to create visual content across a range of platforms. Interns will play a key role in enhancing the Gargoyles’ brand through in-game entertainment assets, digital media, print design, and community engagement materials.
In addition to design responsibilities, interns will support game day operations and assist with special projects throughout the season.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- A creative mindset with a sharp eye for detail
- Ability to accept and apply feedback constructively
- Understanding of brand consistency and visual storytelling
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- A positive, professional attitude
- Strong interest in sports and entertainment design
As a Graphic Design Intern, Your Responsibilities May Include:
- Designing digital and print materials (social media graphics, flyers, posters, signage, email graphics, etc.)
- Creating visuals for theme nights and in-game entertainment
- Editing and resizing content for use across various platforms
- Supporting the Marketing team with campaign graphics and promotional assets
- Organizing and maintaining photo and creative asset libraries
- Assisting with day-of-game creative content and social media visuals
- Performing other duties as assigned
Internship Requirements:
- Working toward or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field
- Housing and reliable transportation in the Greensboro area
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Familiarity with Canva, After Effects, or photography is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Availability to work all home games
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship. School credit may be earned if applicable.
