Zawyer Sports Charlotte is looking for a motivated, organized, and enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships Intern to join our team for the 2026–27 hockey season. 

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in professional sports while working directly with the Corporate Partnerships department. You'll assist with servicing nationally and locally recognized brands, measuring sponsorship performance, supporting game-day activations, and contributing to the growth of Zawyer Sports Charlotte with both the Checkers and the Crown.

This is more than an observational internship - you'll play an active role in the execution of corporate partnerships while gaining valuable experience in sports marketing, sponsorship sales, data analysis, and event operations. 

*This internship is unpaid and intended for college credit* 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

As a Corporate Partnerships Intern, you'll gain exposure to every aspect of the department by assisting with projects including: 

·       Track and report sponsor fulfillment across digital, social media, and in-arena assets

·       Assist in creative ideation and planning for sponsor content and events

·       Create sponsorship recap materials by collecting photos, videos, and performance metrics 

·       Clip game footage showcasing sponsored elements for partner recap reports 

·       Organize and maintain sponsorship photography and digital assets 

·       Assist with game-day preparation and execution of sponsor activations 

·       Research and prospect potential corporate partners 

·       Assist the Corporate Partnerships team with special projects, presentations, and department initiatives 

·       Help maintain accurate sponsorship tracking and reporting throughout the season 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

·       Enrolled undergraduate, graduate-level student, or postgraduate with a 4-year degree 

·       Strong creative, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills 

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office programs 

·       Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

·       Ability to stand or sit for extended periods 

·       Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds 

 

SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY: 

·       September 2026 - April 2027 

·       Approximately 12-24 hours per week (flexible based on class schedule) 

·       Availability for Charlotte Checkers home games, including evenings and weekends 

·       Ability to work from the front office one – two days per week (flexible)
