This position is on-site in Daytona Beach, FL based on the grounds of Daytona International Speedway
Position Overview: The President of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America (MSHFA) will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the organization. This role requires an individual with a passion for the history of motorsports, a skilled manager, and an effective communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels. The President will be responsible for managing the Hall of Fame and museum operations, implementing and managing fundraising initiatives, enhancing public awareness, and preserving the legacy of all major forms of motorsport in America.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute a strategic vision and mission of the MSHFA.
· Lead fundraising efforts, including securing sponsorships, grants, and donations of significant vehicles and memorabilia.
· Oversee the management of the Hall of Fame, including its annual Induction Ceremonies, exhibits, photo and memorabilia archives, events, and educational programs.
· Oversee the management and curation of the museum.
· Foster relationships with motorsport organizations, industry leaders, corporate sponsors and the motorsports community.
· Advocate for the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America through outreach and public engagement.
· Manage paid full and part time staff and volunteers, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
· Report regularly to a Board of Directors and Board of Trustees.
· Represent the MSHFA at events, functions, and media engagements.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience in leadership roles, preferably within the motorsport industry, museum curation and/or non-profit organizations.
· Strong knowledge of motorsports history and the industry including the achievements of noteworthy individuals, equipment and significant events, is a plus.
· Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
· Ability to lead a diverse team and maintain high employee/volunteer morale and job satisfaction.
· Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage diverse stakeholders.
· Experience in and a proven record of success in fundraising and financial management.
· Passion for motorsports, preserving its legacy and motivating the next generation of enthusiasts.
Work Environment: The President will work in a dynamic, fast-paced office environment at the Hall of Fame and museum based on the grounds of Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, FL. The President will be required to travel for select events and meetings.
