Position Summary
The Director of Growth & Strategic Partnerships reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and is responsible for accelerating the growth and market adoption of the Spotlight® product line, created by Modus. The selected candidate will be selling directly and building strategic partnerships and/or channel partnerships who will be deploying the product across multiple venues and driving enterprise revenue growth for both the customer and our company.
This is a “builder” role designed for someone who thrives in a startup environment and enjoys creating new markets rather than managing existing business. Hence, the ability to work remotely. The selected candidate will preferably have served as a vendor selling products to sports and entertainment facilities, professional and college sports properties, trade shows and convention centers, and large-scale multi-day events, for example. Similarly, the individual ought to be familiar with brand marketing and can demonstrate our value to venues and teams - creating additional mobile sponsor-ready inventory in high trafficked sports and entertainment facilities. We believe success will be found developing scalable channel partnerships, across multiple venues, and identifying and selling to these enterprise growth opportunities across sports, entertainment, venues, experiential marketing, trade shows, transit, and out-of-home advertising - this all to establish Spotlight® as the preferred crowd management and sponsorship platform.
The company seeks someone with about 10 years of B2B sales experience whose whose career trajectory has included a sports team, a venue, an event operator, and then vendor to these. We value someone with a solid executive presence, a strategic thinker who can navigate complex organizations, identifying the right buyers and being a strong story-teller. This role will need to be a consensus builder across multiple stakeholders. This is a consultative sales role, leading organizations to understand the value that Spotlight® provides as an affordable additional inventory platform that drives incremental revenue for the customer.
