About the Position
Job Title: Treasury Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Location: Hybrid Based out of the Glenview, IL (LOCAL candidates only will be considered)
Travel: Occasional travel for special meetings and events
Position Overview
The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s liquidity, cash flow, and banking relationships. This role maintains banking relationships and will oversee the banking structure for the business. This role should assess and work to improve processes and controls for the business. The Treasury Manager will present the 13 week cash flow model to upper management and continue to refine the process.
Key Responsibilities
Cash & Liquidity Management
- Maintain and continuously improve a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast to support near-term liquidity planning and decision-making
- Prepare medium- and long-term cash forecasts (up to 12 months) aligned with the annual budget, strategic plan, and business assumptions
- Analyze forecast variances and partner with FP&A, accounting, and business units to improve forecast accuracy
- Reconcile cash forecasts to actual results and budget on a regular basis
- Ensure adequate liquidity to meet operating, investing, and financing requirements
Banking & Financial Relationships
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions (i.e. credit card processors)
- Oversee bank account structures and signatory controls
- Opening and closing bank accounts
Debt & Capital Management
- Monitor and manage debt portfolios, including compliance with covenants
- Support financing activities such as loans and credit lines
- Track interest expense, principal payments, and maturity profiles
Treasury Operations & Controls
- Oversee treasury operations, payments, and cash management systems
- Ensure compliance with internal treasury policies and regulatory requirements
- Improve treasury processes, systems, and automation
- Prepare treasury reports on cash flow, liquidity, and debt
- Assist in preparation of 1099s and ensure deadlines are met
- Manage unclaimed property process
- Ensure vendors are set up with proper documentation and controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Professional certifications (CTP, CFA) preferred
- 7-10 years of experience in treasury, finance, or corporate banking
- Strong understanding of cash management
- Proven experience building short-term (13-week) and long-term cash forecasts tied to budget models
- Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) and banking platforms
