Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Operations will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient and effective execution of 3STEP Sports events, programs, and facilities. This position works closely with the Director of Operations to manage day-to-day operational tasks, ensuring high-quality experiences for all participants and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with a passion for sports and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of various sports events, tournaments, and programs.
  • Manage logistical details including venue setup, equipment procurement, inventory management, and transportation.
  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of event staff and volunteers.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Help develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to enhance efficiency and participant satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and organizational policies during events and within facilities.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, reporting, and budget tracking as directed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operational inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
  • Contribute to post-event analysis and reporting, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the operations department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in operations, event management, or sports administration, preferably within the youth sports industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
  • A genuine passion for youth sports and a commitment to providing exceptional experiences.
