Position Summary
During the Charlotte FC MLS season, the Crown Crew will help enhance the match day experience. The Crown Crew also serves as brand ambassadors for many events around Charlotte, including festivals, sponsor/partner events, and more. This is a paid, part-time position within Charlotte FC’s Marketing & Fan Engagement Department and Community Department where the team will be tasked with empowering and connecting with avid, casual, and new potential fans.   
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • Create a fun, loud, and positive atmosphere during all assigned Charlotte FC events by interacting with fans, distributing giveaways, and encouraging fans to support Charlotte FC. 
  • Promote Charlotte FC at various events throughout the year, including fairs, festivals, sporting events, parades, and more. 
  • Interact with avid, casual, and new potential fans and the city of Charlotte to educate/inform the community of important Charlotte FC messages (specific promotions, ticket updates/offers, team information, etc.). 
  • On-site support for execution of community and grassroots activations. 
  • Responsible for setup and breakdown of events.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading items at the warehouse including transferring items to and from event site. 
  • Assist with organization and maintenance of the storage unit, inventory, and promotional items. 
  • Additional related duties as assigned.
 
Experience & Required Skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Outgoing and engaging personality. 
  • Knowledge of the Major League Soccer, specifically Charlotte FC. 
  • Punctual, professional, and mature demeanor. 
  • Must be a team player and work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Must, at all times, display the character and values of the Tepper Sports & Entertainment brand.
  • Experience with event/game promotions preferred. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
 
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment and outside in a stadium facility.  Local travel to events may be required.  This position works no more than 30 hours per week. 
  • Must be able to work 75% of Charlotte FC events as scheduled, in and around the City of Charlotte, for the length of the event (8 to 10 hours).
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to remain standing/walking for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Ability to climb stairs.
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, and endure weather conditions, including rain, wind, high and low temperatures, etc.
  • Must be able to work in non-traditional settings, and work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
