Position Summary
The Carolina Panthers Sr. Producer, Production Operations, will lead video production for the day-to-day operations of the football team, serving the fans by providing football video for team-owned and-operated media, team broadcasts, and partner broadcast relationships. The Sr. Producer will play a key role in coordinating the technical needs of video production for the broader Panthers Content team, including studio planning and maintenance, as well as camera equipment planning and maintenance.
Roles, Responsibilities, Expectations
- Serve as the team’s lead cinematographer and support the development of additional content by coordinating production lighting, cameras, and on-set settings for content producers as requested.
- Act as an advisor for a wide variety of production shoots across the organization.
- Set up and operate gear, including cameras, lights, grip, and electrical equipment as required by the project.
- Work with the producer to support the visual goal of the project
- Assist in the creation of shot lists, camera, and lighting plots, and any other relevant pre-production documents as requested by producers.
- Support video production for day-to-day Panthers football operations, including:
- Capture highlight and b-roll video for all Panthers practices.
- Capture highlight and b-roll video for all Panthers games, home and away.
- Work with Director of Digital Video to advise on additional production bandwidth needs from other teams
- Manage team media shuttle, providing footage to broadcast partners for key Panthers football moments and community initiatives.
- Lead enterprise administration of Iconik (MAM), supporting organization-wide media operations and content distribution
- Oversee metadata and taxonomy standards, archival workflows, organization, and asset tagging across full-time staff in alignment with strategy from the Director of Digital Video
- Train full-time staff on DAM/MAM workflows and best practices while integrating AI-powered facial recognition and automated tagging solutions
- Oversee all Panthers media availabilities and provide a broadcast video feed for internal channels and partners.
- Lead a team of FT staff, interns, and/or freelance staff to capture and distribute all media availabilities.
- Lead video production for postgame media availabilities for all Panthers games, home and away.
- Lead video capture for virtual availabilities and other tentpole event availabilities for prominent football staff.
- Manage the inventory system for video equipment, implementing processes to track it effectively.
- Serve as the lead Panthers contact for video equipment repairs
- Work alongside Director, video producers and equipment users to support the long-term video equipment strategy.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the latest and greatest video production equipment
- Coordinate packing operations for Panthers away games
- Manage equipment maintenance and enact systems for equipment accountability among users
- Develop storage and shipping solutions to protect all Panthers video assets.
- Work with Director of Digital Video, IT department, Sr. Manager Storage and Data Engineering, and Data Engineer to support systems to archive and access historical video footage for the benefit of various post-production projects.
- Partner with IT personnel to manage the digitization and archiving of physical historical tapes and video footage
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong demonstrated experience shooting for football
- Strong understanding of video and studio production equipment
- Strong video shooting and cinematography experience, with developed ability to utilize various camera set-ups depending on the project
- Experience with metadata, data entry, or analytics.
- Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Media Asset Management (MAM) platforms
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally alongside important figures and professional athletes
- Ability and desire to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays is a must. This role is expected to work every home game during the NFL season, plus travel and special events.

This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions).
