The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Talent Acquisition Partner, Contract to join our Talent Acquisition team for a 3 – 6 month assignment. In this role, you'll partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to manage full-cycle recruitment across a variety of business functions, helping us attract exceptional talent while delivering outstanding experiences for candidates and hiring leaders.
Your recruiting portfolio will span the breadth of our business, including high-volume hiring for frontline venue and event teams, professional and business roles across the organization, and positions supporting our sports teams. You'll need to be comfortable shifting between different talent markets, hiring needs, and recruiting strategies while bringing the same focus on quality, speed, and candidate experience to every search.

What You'll Do
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions, from intake through accepted offer.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand business needs, define role requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies.
- Review and refine job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect business needs and attract qualified candidates.
- Source, screen, interview, and evaluate candidates using structured, equitable selection practices.
- Coordinate interview processes and partner with hiring teams to ensure timely, informed hiring decisions.
- Prepare, extend, and negotiate employment offers in partnership with HR leadership.
- Initiate background screenings and partner with HR Operations to support a seamless pre-employment and onboarding process.
- Partner with external search firms or staffing agencies when appropriate and help ensure strong vendor performance.
Build Strong Talent Pipelines
- Develop proactive sourcing strategies to identify both active and passive candidates.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Leverage networking, referrals, professional associations, social media, and other recruiting channels to identify top talent.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with prospective candidates to strengthen future recruiting efforts.
Serve as a Trusted Talent Partner
- Build strong partnerships with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition colleagues.
- Provide market insights, recruiting updates, and recommendations throughout the hiring process.
- Deliver a positive, transparent, and engaging experience for candidates and hiring teams.
- Conduct regular follow-up with business leaders to evaluate recruiting effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
Represent the SS&E Brand
- Serve as an ambassador for SS&E by communicating our culture, values, and employee experience.
- Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, community events, and industry associations to strengthen our employment brand.
- Help position SS&E as an employer of choice within the San Antonio community and the sports and entertainment industry.
Drive Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting data within our applicant tracking system.
- Ensure recruiting activities comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and hiring best practices.
- Utilize recruiting technology and reporting tools to improve efficiency and support informed hiring decisions.
- Support Talent Acquisition initiatives and special projects as business needs evolve during the assignment.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Four or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting a variety of business functions.
- Experience managing multiple requisitions and stakeholders in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- High-volume recruiting experience and/or experience within sports, entertainment, hospitality, or live events is a plus.
- Strong sourcing skills and experience identifying both active and passive talent.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to establish credibility across all levels of the organization.
- Sound judgment and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work onsite in San Antonio four days per week for the duration of the assignment.
