The Rock at La Cantera is a vibrant fan plaza and event destination where community, culture, and entertainment collide. Spurs Sports & Entertainment is we’re looking for a digitally savvy Social Media Senior Coordinator to help bring it to life online. From food festivals and community events to concert nights and watch parties, you’ll be on the ground covering it all. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, content-rich environment and is passionate about helping the local community discover and engage with everything happening at The Rock at La Cantera.

 

You’ll work closely with the Associate Manager of Franchise Social Media and collaborate with Marketing and Venue Operations to ensure The Rock at La Cantera’s voice shows up consistently and creatively across all platforms.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Produce, publish, and manage content across all major and emerging social platforms that highlights events, activations, and experiences at The Rock at La Cantera. 
  • Capture and edit mobile-first, vertical video, photo, and story-based content for real-time and future use. 
  • Tag all published content with the appropriate metadata to support content tracking and performance analysis by the social strategy team. 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align content with campaign messaging, event promotion, and brand priorities with the goal of driving engagement and attendance. 
  • Stay on top of trends, cultural moments, and community stories that can inform or enhance The Rock at La Cantera's digital presence. 
  • Support holiday, weekend, and evening event coverage as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, or Sports Management (with digital/media focus).
  • 1–2 years of experience running social media for a venue, brand, event series, or organization.
  • Strong understanding of event coverage, fan culture, and social trends, especially as it applies to social storytelling, and community connection and growth.
  • Proficiency in creating vertical, short-form, and platform-native content.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), CapCut, Canva, and content scheduling tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Later, Hootsuite).
  • Experience covering live events and engaging with third parties and vendors, while working under tight deadlines with fast turnaround times.
  • Excitement to grow within a digital team and contribute ideas in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays (required for coverage).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or mobile device.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, phone, camera, or video equipment.
  • Lift, carry, move light equipment such as laptops, cameras, tripods, or lighting gear up to 25 lbs.
  • Move throughout an arena or event venue to capture content from various angles (on-court, concourse, press box, locker room, etc.)
  • Work in crowded, noisy, and fast-paced environments, especially during games or media events.
