San Antonio FC is on the lookout for a creative and digitally savvy Social Media Senior Coordinator to help fuel the daily voice of the club across our social channels. If you live and breathe soccer, can’t wait for the flares to light up the sideline, and can write a clever caption in your sleep, this role was made for you!

You’ll have a front-row seat to the action - from match day moments to community events, and a direct hand in how fans experience SAFC online. Whether it’s behind-the-scenes training content or celebrating a last-minute game-winning goal, you’ll help tell the story of the club in real time.

We’re looking for someone with strong writing instincts, platform intuition, and a love for the game. You’ll work closely with the SAFC content producer and report directly to the Manager of Franchise Social Media, while collaborating with Marketing, PR, and Community teams to make sure SAFC shows up consistently and creatively wherever our fans are scrolling.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support day-to-day content publishing and platform management for all SAFC social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube and other emerging platforms.
  • Capture real-time coverage of SAFC matches, events, and press opportunities using mobile-first storytelling techniques.
  • Contribute to content planning, campaign execution, and brainstorming sessions alongside the content producer.
  • Monitor fan conversations and community engagement; elevate insights and feedback to internal teams.
  • Track performance metrics, assist in pulling reports, and apply learnings to continually evolve our social content.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as: Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, or Sports Management (with digital/media focus).
  • 1–2 years of experience running social media for a brand, team, or organization.
  • Strong understanding of soccer fan culture and social trends, especially as it applies to social storytelling, and audience connection and growth.
  • Proficiency in creating short-form, platform-native content.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), CapCut, Canva, and content scheduling tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Later, Hootsuite).
  • Experience covering live events, especially sports, collaborating with designers, videographers, and brand teams. Working under tight deadlines with fast turnaround times.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays (required for coverage). Maintain a flexible schedule with the ability to respond quickly to breaking news or real-time content opportunities (e.g., player trades, viral moments).
  • Excitement to grow within a digital team and contribute ideas in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Travel occasionally for away games, media events, or league functions.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or mobile device.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, phone, camera, or video equipment.
  • Lift, carry, move light equipment such as laptops, cameras, tripods, or lighting gear up to 25 lbs.
  • Move throughout an arena or event venue to capture content from various angles (on-court, concourse, press box, locker room, etc.)
  • Work in crowded, noisy, and fast-paced environments, especially during games or media events.

In every position, each employee is expected to: demonstrate alignment with SS&E’s core values and mission, collaborate with internal/external community members and demonstrate ongoing development.

If you don’t have experience in every single bullet above, no sweat – we still want to hear from you and encourage you to apply!
