Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) is looking for a dedicated security professional to join our family! The person in this role will maintain established security policies and procedures that will protect our organization's franchises, the ROCK Complex along with its assets, employees and guests. As a Security team member you will control access into all areas, properties and its secured areas; patrol the facilities paying special attention to activities or situations that may breach security or pose a safety hazard and or threats. In addition, operate and monitor surveillance equipment to include cameras and radio communications. Our ideal candidate will quickly respond to alarms, breach of security, and emergency situations where an immediate decision to maintain a safe and secure environment is required. Additionally, you are required to potentially take immediate action and decide how to effectively maintain a safe and secure environment. Being proactive to identify potential threats is a must! What You’ll Do:

  • Regulates and controls access to restricted and secure areas. (i.e., event level, receiving dock, locker rooms, executives office space, and other sensitive areas).
  • Monitors, patrols, and responds to alarms/emergency situations inside/outside the ROCK complex and grounds. Provides quick, professional and effective response in security and/or safety related situations.
  • Communicates with VIPs and other visitors attending events in and around the ROCK complex.  Serves as a resource for information and replies to inquiries from the public or SS&E employees. Interacts professionally and notifies the proper authorities or personnel, as situations dictate.
  • Completes effective communication, both verbally and written where appropriate, in situations where reports are generated, or direction is needed. Prepares effective incident/accident reports.
  • Consistently and appropriately problem solves. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves safety concerns. Effectively generates safety awareness and training. Identifies and effectively enforces guidelines to reduce unsafe practices.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.  Clothing worn while on duty must be neat, clean, and have a fresh appearance at all times.  
  • In addition, you may be assigned additional security duties which are not outlined in this document as needed at the direction of the Senior Security Manager, The ROCK Operations. 

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in the security field.
  • Have a basic understanding of security access control systems, protocols, CCTV and other security related equipment.
  • Has an understanding of basic security protocols and safety programs. 
  • Ability to obtain a Level 2 Security License and Certification required while in this position.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25+ plus lbs. as needed.
  • Possess a flexible availability to work long, flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays (potential rorating shifts).
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication and team building skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, with initiative and exceptional, sound decision making skills.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods in extreme conditions for the duration of assigned shift.
  • Must possess the ability to meet dress standards. As a representative of SS&E, dress standards are highly reflective of our brand.
  • Must have familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Must be willing to foster their career development by attending SS&E University.
  • Must be proficient in sending and checking emails through Microsoft Outlook.
