The Spurs Impact Center will be a hub for collaboration, innovation, and empowerment —providing equitable access to resources, opportunities, and experiences that elevate and connect the community. The Facility Operations Manager – Spurs Impact Center will serve as the primary on-site logistics lead, responsible for managing the facility’s day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include facility management, venue rubric oversight, supporting security, parking and event services, and managing third-party vendor relationships for culinary and housekeeping needs. Guided by the impact leadership team, this position will play an essential role in maintaining and enhancing the venue’s core system functions, while keeping long-term building sustainability at the core.

  

What You’ll Do: 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may supervise one or more part-time positions and is responsible for full life cycle of staff including hiring, onboarding, coaching, training, development, completing performance evaluations, scheduling and approving/declining leaves and timecards.

Administration and Operations

  • Support the impact leadership team in managing day-to-day operations of the Spurs Impact Center. This will include management of all services and activities involved in the maintenance and operations, including but not limited to: HVAC, fire systems, vertical transportation, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, security, parking, culinary services, and event services.
  • Promote and uphold standard operating procedures for facility use and staff operations, as defined by the impact leadership team. 
  • Collaborate with the impact leadership team to manage relationships with external partners, contractors and service providers.
  • Support in maintaining an inventory control system and purchasing supplies, parts and equipment through the established purchasing processes.
  • Work in tandem with the impact leadership team to manage the existing building construction contract.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are:   

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of facility operations experience or related equivalent experience is preferred. Must be well-versed in facility operations management best practices.
  • Experience/knowledge of overseeing all aspects of a multi-purpose gathering space is strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of facility operations programs.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support high level positions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships with a diverse array of individuals and groups, demonstrating exceptional people skills.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and advocate for building sustainability.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and reach frequently throughout the workday.
  • Ability to operate tools, equipment, and machinery related to facility maintenance and repairs.
  • Must be able to visually inspect facilities and equipment to ensure proper operations and safety standards.
  • Work may occasionally require exposure to varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events or facility needs.
  • Position involves frequent movement throughout the facility and the ability to respond quickly to operational or safety issues as they arise.
