Game Operation Assistants have the opportunity to see the business side of sports and entertainment first hand for the Austin Spurs. The Austin Spurs are a part of the NBA G League, the NBA’s minor league system. The Austin Spurs are directly affiliated, owned, and operated by the San Antonio Spurs. Assistants have the opportunity to work directly with the Austin Spurs game presentation team, implementing group sales performances and all in-arena entertainment, including on-court promotions. Game Operations Assistants are involved with the creative side as well, participating in brainstorming sessions and meetings where promotional ideas are discussed.

What You’ll Do: 

Facilitate all game-day setup & tear-down duties including: equipment needed for promotions, concourse activations, equipment for scorer’s table, officials’ locker room needs
Lead execution of all group performances & fan experience packages, including, but not limited to National Anthems, Halftime Performances, and Fan Tunnels
Lead execution of all on-court, off-court, and in-stands promotions, to include selecting participants, setup and removal of all equipment, and prizing delivery
Assist the Mascot and Entertainment Team with all game-day appearances and needs
Other duties as assigned by Associate Manager, Game Presentation

Who You Are:  

Must be available to work ALL Austin Spurs home games (24) from November 2025-March 2026, with possibility of Playoff games extending the season into April 2026. Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be a junior or senior in college, a recent college graduate (within 2 years), or currently enrolled in a related graduate program
Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from the HEB Center at Cedar Park
Experience in a similar role involving fan engagement, game presentation, or operations is preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements:

Must have the ability to work 6-8 hour shifts on each game day… some games may have slightly lower or higher time commitments
Must be able to carry/move/handle equipment up to 50 pounds
Must be comfortable being on one’s feet for long periods of time, as well as walking/moving throughout and entire arena
Must be comfortable working in colder conditions (the HEB Center at Cedar Park has ice under the basketball court, so temperatures are typically cold)
