Job Summary

The Associate Manager of Culinary Experience serves as a critical liaison between the organization and its food & beverage partner, ensuring that all premium spaces deliver a cohesive, high-quality culinary experience for fans, guests, and VIPs while staying within budget parameters. This role oversees menu development, operational readiness, quality control, and service excellence, working collaboratively with culinary, operations, maintenance, and marketing teams to maintain the highest standards of hospitality and event execution. The Associate manager is primarily focused on the Frost Bank Center and Spurs Street Eats food and beverage partners and their operational obligations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  1. Menu Development & Quality Assurance
    1. Review all premium space menus for cohesion, quality, and consistency, providing constructive feedback to the food and beverage partner to enhance offerings within budget. 
    2. Collaborate with culinary teams to ensure menus meet brand standards, incorporate seasonal and specialty items, and reflect current culinary trends. 
  2. Event Readiness & Execution
      1. Ensure all premium spaces are fully set and operational for every event, including food temperature, presentation, staffing, allergy/ID signage, and adherence to service standards. 
      2. Collaborate with Fan Operations and premium services to achieve operational objectives as well as providing consistent fan experience.
      3. Conduct on-site checks prior to and during events to confirm seamless service delivery. 
    1. Technology & Communications
      1. Responsible for maintaining the Premium space menus on the Spurs App including uploading and printing premium space menus for all Spurs games and venue events, ensuring timely and accurate availability for STMs. 
    2. Facility & Operational Standards
      1. Conduct consistent monthly building walks with the Aramark counterpart to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to standard operating procedures before and after events.
      2. Report and track any building-related issues to the facilities team for timely resolution.
    3. Expense & Administrative Support
      1. Manage assigned department related purchase orders to ensure timely ordering, approvals and delivery for each event.
      2. Maintain accurate financial records to support cost control and operational efficiency.
    4. Maintenance Coordination
      1. Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager weekly to update the maintenance sheet with all current work orders, providing leadership with up-to-date equipment status reports.
      2. Maintains records of all F&B equipment condition, scheduled maintenance and detailed list of locations 
    5. Training & Team Development
      1. Provide guidance and on the job training for Spurs Street Eats food truck staff members in pre-event planning and event operations. 
      2. Manage Spurs Street Eats food truck booking program to ensure effective use and deliver the desired ROI 
      3. Manages Spurs Street Eats food truck settlement to drive revenue
      4. Maintains the social media content for the Spurs Street Eats food truck
    6. Calendar & Event Planning
      1. Maintain the culinary calendar, including large events, internal catering, and key operational dates.
    7. Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Requires 5 years’ experience in food & Beverage management, premium hospitality, culinary operations, or event management preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of professional customer service experience
  • Able to look at Food and Beverage operations with a Fan Focused point of view
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of menu development, food safety standards, and service protocols.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in operational reporting, and digital menu management tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, some holidays, and event nights

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Requires working in all types of conditions indoors, outdoors, extreme summer heat,
  • Ability to lift & carry up to 50lbs
