We are looking for someone who is ready for a challenge and isn't afraid to dig in and work together to write the next chapter for our People and Culture at SS&E! As an integral player in strategic business operations, you will create, manage and activate our People Operations strategy. You will guide the People Operations function that partners in lock-step with organizational leaders to solve business challenges, while serving as experts in all things' talent related. They will build a growth environment that attracts and nurtures top talent, where employees’ skills are optimized and potentials are fulfilled. Does sound like a fit for you? Responsibilities

  1. Talent Acquisition Strategy – Develop targeted talent acquisition strategies for business operations and support basketball operations as necessary.
  2. HR Systems – Evaluate existing systems and look for opportunities to align with outstanding methods.
  3. Compensation and Rewards - Own our total rewards and compensation structure.
  4. Values & Culture – Support leaders across the organization to align our culture with our values and ensure it is factored into hiring, development, compensation, etc.
  5. Organizational Design – Build and develop a successful team and collaborate with department heads to ensure respective functions are optimally structured and staffed.
  6. Learning and Growth – Support organizational learning and development both informally and formally.
  7. Compliance and Policy Work - Ensure we’re always on track with employment law and legislation.
  8. DE&I Champion - Ensure equitably across the entire organization.
  9. Data & insights – Helps foster an environment that uses data & insights to ensure best in class hiring, development and growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team during a time of change or in the journey from small to large ensuring that you’re allocating the right resources across the business. You have built a people operations practice that other leaders want to learn from.
  • Strong functional HR expertise in organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, compensation, conflict resolution, and data analytics and you know how to convert these areas into digestible programs for employees and leaders.
  • Deep dedication to the mission and vision of SS&E; deep commitment to race, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with a minimum of 8 years overall in human resources preferred.
  • Exceptional record of managing and developing senior leaders, with experience managing during change preferred.
  • Position will require travel to external community events and growth target areas as well as and player appearances.
