About The Role: 

The Senior Human Resources Manager is focused on Employee Relations activities for the organization and responsible for overseeing the company’s employee relations programs, policies, and procedures. In this role, the person will manage activities related to the employee experience, promote employee satisfaction and foster a positive working environment, support performance management practices, and handle counseling and investigating employee relations matters while adhering to company policies. This role will also contribute regularly to all other aspects of HR. This individual must be an organized leader with the ability to work with different level of leaders, and lead by example. Must possess considerable knowledge of management-labor relations; the principles, practices, and procedures of Human Resources Management. 

This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of in-office and remote workdays.

 

What You Will Do 

  • Oversee and actively participate in the day to day HR activities across the organization in alignment with the Company’s strategic direction  

  • Serve as HR partner for multiple business units across the field, serve as point of contact for employee relations issues and concerns; manage day to day execution, facilitate in person meetings regularly with employees, and manage administration of all personnel related matters 

  • Implement and champion HR initiatives, policies and procedures that support the Company’s goals and objectives. 

  • Supports management by providing sound human resources advice, counsel, and recommending actions  

  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement and satisfaction; promote a positive working culture 

  • Identify ways and continually work on increasing retention and build high performing teams  

  • Support leadership development and training initiatives 

  • Ensure fair, thorough, impartial, timely and thorough completion of HR investigations and completion of required documentation/ reports  

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local labor laws and regulations, and alignment with company policies and practices  

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices 

  • Thoroughly prepare and document reports, and documentation related to employee relations activities  

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records related to employee relations issues  

  • Support and drive process for annual review, preparation and administration of the Company’s wage and salary program 

  • Develop processes and tools to measure impact and value of HR initiatives to the organization 

  • Assists management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. 

  • Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation sessions between employees and/or management as necessary 

  • Manage performance and disciplinary process; Provide recommendations, review corrective action forms and ongoing support 

  • Develop and implement performance improvement plans for employees as needed 

  • Design and deliver training programs on employee relations, conflict resolution, workplace behavior, and other related topics 

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Director of Human Resources and Vice President of Human Resources as needed. 

  • Exercise considerable judgment, confidentiality and discretion during course of employment activity 

  • Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company. 

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need 

 

About You: 

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, within the hospitality field preferred. 

  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources management experience related to employee relations and compliance 

  • In depth knowledge of city, state, and federal labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices 

  • Experience working with a majority non-exempt workforce 

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in human resources or related field. 

  • Strong leadership, high EQ,  and relationship building skills. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills including verbal, written, presentation, and listening skills   

  • Proven problem solving and conflict resolution abilities  

  • High level of reliability and personal integrity 

  • Superior organization skills with ability to oscillate between priorities quickly  

  • Collaborative work style and ability to work effectively across departments. 

  • Results oriented with ability to effectively manage projects and tight deadlines. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 

  • Fluent in Spanish  

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to sit and stand for prolong periods of time.        

  • Ability to move on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property.  Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb steps regularly, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.        

 

Compensation range: $110,000 – $130,000
