About The Role: 

We are seeking a personable, energetic, and service-oriented Cocktail Server to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, knowledgeable about cocktails and spirits, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

 

What You Will Do 

Guest Service & Hospitality 

  • Greet all guests warmly and promptly, establishing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. 

  • Take beverage and food orders accurately and efficiently. 

  • Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalized service. 

  • Address guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally and promptly. 

  • Create a memorable and enjoyable experience for every guest. 

Product Knowledge & Presentation 

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the beverage menu, including specialty cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers. 

  • Suggest pairings and upsell based on guest preferences. 

  • Ensure drinks and food are presented according to brand standards. 

  • Stay updated on seasonal or promotional offerings. 

Order Management & Communication 

  • Input orders accurately into the POS system and relay any special instructions to the bar or kitchen. 

  • Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure timely service. 

  • Deliver orders swiftly and with care, checking for accuracy. 

Compliance & Safety 

  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices and verify guest age where required. 

  • Adhere to all health, sanitation, and safety standards, including Department of Health regulations. 

  • Maintain awareness of guests’ alcohol consumption and report any safety concerns to management. 

Cleanliness & Organization 

  • Keep assigned sections clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift. 

  • Clear tables promptly and reset for the next guests. 

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in shared service areas, including bar stations and POS terminals. 

Financial Transactions 

  • Accurately process guest payments via cash, credit card, or room charges. 

  • Handle all transactions responsibly and in accordance with company procedures. 

  • Ensure accurate end-of-shift reconciliation of sales. 

 

About You: 

  • Prior experience in a cocktail or table service role, preferably in a high-volume hospitality setting. 

  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure. 

  • Professional appearance and demeanor. 

  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. 

  • Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (in accordance with local regulations). 

  • TIPS or other alcohol service certification preferred. 

 

Additional Requirements: 

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.     

  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.    

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. 

  • Comfortable lifting trays and carrying multiple beverages. 

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed in a busy environment. 

 

 

Compensation: The base pay range for this position is paid a minimum wage and a tip credit is taken when applicable $16.50 per hour.
