About The Role:
Seaport Entertainment Group is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Bartender Prep to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in setting up the bar for daily operations by preparing garnishes, stocking supplies, and ensuring all necessary tools and ingredients are readily available for bartenders to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
What You Will Do:
Prepare and organize garnishes (lemons, limes, oranges, etc.), fruits, and other cocktail ingredients
Stock and replenish bar supplies (liquor, mixers, napkins, straws, glassware, etc.)
Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
Ensure all bar tools (shakers, jiggers, strainers, etc.) are clean, stocked, and in good condition
Assist with inventory control by tracking stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and ensuring proper rotation of products
Monitor and report any shortages or discrepancies to the Bar Manager
Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, syrups, and other ingredients in advance to streamline service
Assist in stocking glassware and keeping the bar area organized and clean throughout the shift
Maintain a clean and orderly bar area, including the floor, counters, and storage areas
Ensure all equipment is properly sanitized and stored after use
Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
Consistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniform
Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company
Performs other duties and responsibilities as per business need
About You:
Minimum of 1 years of experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment as a barback or bartender
Knowledge of spirits, cocktail ingredients, and garnishes
Knowledge of alcohol service and food safety standards
Strong communication skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
High standards for cleanliness of workspace and service areas
Professional demeanor and polished appearance
Ability to work in an ever-changing environment
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Strong work ethic and customer-focused approach
Certification in responsible alcohol service (TIPS) is preferred
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand for prolong periods of time.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb steps regularly, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Compensation range: $25 per hour
