About The Role 

Bat Boys/Girls work on the field assisting players, coaches, and umpires with equipment and supplies. They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of games by keeping equipment organized, assisting with game logistics, and maintaining dugout and field areas. 

 

What You Will Do 

  • Fill water coolers and stock cups for dugouts and bullpens before the game. 

  • Carry equipment such as bats, balls, helmets, and any other necessary gear to and from the dugout. 

  • Retrieve foul balls that remain on the field during the game and return them to the umpire. 

  • Be aware of the game and pay close attention to the umpire’s needs during play. 

  • Maintain the on-deck circle and batter’s box, clearing stray equipment as necessary. 

  • Deliver baseballs to umpires and restock game balls. 

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down equipment before and after games. 

  • Keep the dugout and field area clean and organized. 

 

About You 

  • Must be at least 16 years old. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. 

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills. 

  • Physically capable of carrying equipment and running short distances frequently. 

  • Responsible, punctual, and able to take direction well. 

  • Some knowledge of baseball, including rules and gameplay. 

  • Previous experience in a similar role or involvement in baseball. 

  • Passion for the game and a desire to contribute to the team’s success. 

 

Compensation: starting at $12 per hour
