ABOUT PORTLAND FIRE:
Professional women’s basketball is returning to Portland. On September 18, 2024, the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) awarded Portland its 15th franchise, bringing the league back to the city for the first time in over two decades. Owned and operated by the Bhathal family through RAJ Sports, the team will make its official debut in 2026 at the Moda Center. Portland is cementing itself as the epicenter of women’s sports, powered by a passionate fan base and a rich basketball culture. THE ROLE:
 
The Team Attendant supports the day-to-day operations of the Portland Fire, ensuring a professional, organized, and efficient environment for players, coaches, and staff. This role is essential to practice and game-day execution, assisting with equipment, locker room operations, and overall team readiness. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO:
 
  • Set up and break down locker room and court prior to practices and games 
  • Assist with equipment inventory, tracking, and overall maintenance of team gear 
  • Perform laundry duties, including washing and organizing practice gear, towels, and uniforms 
  • Transport equipment between team facilities, arenas, and other locations as needed 
  • Assist with pregame activities, including rebounding for players 
  • Maintain court safety by promptly identifying and addressing wet spots or hazards 
  • Support visiting team operations, including unloading and loading buses, transporting equipment, and assisting with equipment setup, luggage coordination, and catering needs 
  • Assist game officials with requests in a professional and timely manner 
  • Restock and maintain refreshments, hydration stations, and bench supplies 
  • Provide general operational support to players, coaches, and Basketball Operations staff in a professional and timely manner 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned 

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE ON OUR TEAM:
  • Previous experience as a team attendant or in a similar role is preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment 
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion 
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a willingness to learn 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds 
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including all home games
