THE RUNDOWN 

Playfly Sports is looking for a Sr. Account Supervisor, Consulting to join our team in New York, NY.

The Sr. Account Supervisor, Consulting will be responsible for the management of a brand client, focused on their college sports strategy.  This role will be responsible for leading account management and deliverables while overseeing cross-functional processes.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH  

  • Establish and lead the relationship with key stakeholders across the brand and their college sports partnerships while managing long-term and short-term deliverables
  • Become immersed in the client’s brand, business and category, operating as an extension of their team to craft strategies that positively impact their objectives and KPIs
  • Effectively manage and grow junior account team members that will service the client in the areas of research, valuation, strategy development, concept development, partnership acquisition, activation, measurement, etc.
  • Lead the on-boarding of the client, including the development of timelines and action plans
  • Leverage research and insights to guide client-specific strategy development
  • Develop effective and well-designed client-facing materials including presentations, reports, recaps, etc.
  • Manage the process of concept development and ideation for client specific activation platforms
  • Support negotiations with client partners and vendors
  • Liaison with Playfly legal department in the development of client agreements and partner contracts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key client executives across the brand ecosystem
  • Develop mastery of Playfly’s propriety valuation methodology and processes to build strategies and solutions for the client
  • Manage profitability by collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and negotiate statements of work and ensure the work is delivered on budget
  • Manage cross-collaboration and integration of relevant Playfly divisions as necessary
  • Work collaboratively with the client’s agency partners where applicable
  • Build and cultivate relationships with leaders across relevant divisions of Playfly
  • Support other brand consulting clients and participate in internal brainstorms as needed
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in the sports sponsorship industry or related field is required
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
  • Strong experience, knowledge, and understanding in/of sponsorship marketing, inclusive of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle, ideally with previous agency experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of sponsorship valuation and measurement required
  • Experience in the isotonic or non-alcoholic beverage category is a plus
  • Successful experience as a project lead with client-facing responsibility and management of multiple team members is preferred
  • A passion for sports and entertainment marketing
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and ability to be self-motivated and independently produce work to completion
  • A strong leader and team player with proven ability to effectively collaborate with others and maintain strong relationships is a must
  • A strong sense of creativity and a comfort level with sharing ideas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint

 

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk-up stairs
  • Out of state travel may be required; Likely not more than 15-20%
  • Must be willing to work out of client’s New York office multiple times per month
  • Must be comfortable with the potential of working nights and/or weekends if required (but not a standard)
  • Some physical exertion up to 30lbs might be required for onsite client activations as necessary

 

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
