PARTNERSHP SERVICES INTERN (VIRGINIA TECH SPORTS PROPERTIES)

THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Partnership Services Associate (Intern) to join our team at Virginia Tech Sports Properties in Blacksburg, VA, from August ’25 through May ’26.

The position will primarily support the administrative and operational functions of Virginia Tech Sports Properties, including but not limited to general office duties, plus game-day operations related to sponsor contract fulfillment as required on behalf of Playfly Sports Properties at Virginia Tech.

This position does require attendance for all seven home football games, in addition to some nights and weekends during the Basketball season.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Support full-time team of Partnership Services and Sales staff.
  •  Assist in the development of sponsor communication material, including spec sheets, partnership recaps, event invitations, etc.
  •  Assist with the collection and execution of sponsor deliverables, including radio spots, LED files, digital ads, etc.
  •  Assist with the execution of sponsor-related gameday events and needs, including suite setup, pre and in-game hospitality check-in table, on-site sponsorship activations, photography of sponsor assets, selection of fans for gameday contests, delivery of prizes into stands, etc.
  •  Assist with the execution of non-gameday special events.
  •  Provide general office and administrative support, including mailing out sponsor items, restocking supplies, etc.
  •  Represent Playfly Sports, university sports property and the University in a professional manner
  •  Other duties as assigned.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • You must be enrolled in a degree with an accredited college or university.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft, to include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Graphic Design skills and experience working with Digital Media is a plus.
  • Organizational skills with strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortability interacting with the public and engaging in conversation with both Fans and Sponsors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and a Team Player mentality

 

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 5 - 10 office hours a week, plus additional gameday hours.
  • Role is required to work all seven home football games (including hours prior to kickoff) and other assigned sports home games (may include night and weekend games).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk up stairs
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
