THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Manager, Consulting & Valuation to join our team.

The Manager will work with sports and entertainment rightsholders, serving Playfly clients as a key project and relationship manager for those seeking to develop custom tailored commercial revenue strategies and determine how best to articulate the business opportunity / ROI for various prospective brands.

The Manager’s focus will require expertise in client relationships management, sponsorship consulting, integrated marketing, and team / project management. The Manager will work directly with key client stakeholders and the Playfly Sports Consulting team to understand the inventory of assets, value the inventory, and make strategic recommendations around packaging & go-to-market strategy.  The ideal candidate possesses a strong passion for strategic thinking, sponsorship expertise, exemplary communication skills, and an enthusiasm for collaboration with teammates.

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, and liaise with team members across multiple departments at Playfly to ensure deadlines and objectives are met
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the Sponsorship landscape across the sports & entertainment landscape, and contribute to the documentation and development of best practices
  • Create customized solutions and cutting-edge strategies for clients to increase sponsorship revenue, create innovative digital partnerships, and increase fan engagement
  • Advise clients on sponsorship and digital content/publishing strategies, as well as asset ideation & development
  • Have a foundational knowledge of PSC’s valuation methodology and processes to build strategies and solutions for clients
  • Produce custom packaging strategies that maximize revenue by leveraging the recommended optimized inventory
  • Translate findings into an easy-to-digest and compelling manner in client deliverables and serve as an authority figure on the information when presenting to clients
  • Provide strategic inputs to the various sponsorship sales divisions & projects within Playfly and participate in cross-departmental sharing of best practices and collaboration
  • Manage third-party vendor and partner agency relationships
  • Employ a strong sense of organization to manage tasks across multiple projects at once, while managing client deliverables and requests and communicating progress / delays to the internal team
  • Work closely with your manager and collaborate with your team on strategies, critical thinking, and problem solving
  • Create reports and other documents with extraordinary attention to detail, consistency, spelling and grammar

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Four (4) years or more relevant experience and track record of building successful relationships with rightsholders
  • Strong experience, knowledge, and understanding in/of sponsorship marketing, inclusive of sports, entertainment, and lifestyle
  • Successful experience as a project lead with client-facing responsibility and management of team members
  • Demonstrated ability to monetize properties’ marketing assets by presenting new and compelling ideas to clients and their prospective partners
  • Ability to successfully develop channels, platform strategies, and content distribution across digital platforms (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of MS Excel and PPT
  • Other necessary qualifications and characteristics:

    • Willingness to travel as needed for various projects (10-15% of the time)

 

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Minimal travel may be required to attend meetings, conduct trainings, etc.

 

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
