THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for a Director, Corporate Partnerships to join our team.

 

The primary responsibility of this position is to secure commercial revenue on behalf of Playfly Premier Partnerships’ portfolio of blue-chip sports & entertainment rights holders, including professional & collegiate teams, stadiums/arena, live events, and municipalities.   The successful candidate will be an experienced, polished sales executive who is expected to consistently source, pitch, negotiate and close seven & eight figure partnerships across multiple client accounts while developing meaningful relationships with executive-level corporate decision makers that result in long term COI for our clients.    

 

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Lead and manage Premier client accounts, ensuring exceptional service and long-term partnership growth
  • Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partnerships across key categories
  • Drive proactive outreach and strategic prospecting of potential partners
  • Develop and monetize new sponsorship inventory in collaboration with property stakeholders
  • Conduct high-impact, face-to-face sales meetings with senior decision-makers
  • Build, maintain, and present robust sales pipelines with clear forecasting and reporting
  • Create compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client objectives
  • Travel domestically and internationally to engage with prospective and existing partners
  • Support new business efforts across both property representation and consulting/valuation engagements
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development to junior sales staff

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6-8 years of direct sales experience in the sports multi-media environment required
  • 10 years of experience in a sales role preferred
  • Experience managing a team of direct reports
  • Proven ability in managing, meeting & exceeding budget & revenue goals
  • Familiarity with KORE or similar CRM system
  • Strong experience and understanding of integrated and “conceptual” sales
  • Ability to generate and present ideas and concepts succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects/clients
  • Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated professional sales presentation skills
  • Must be driven and coachable to execute the Playfly Sports Properties revenue model and to understand the distinctive relationship with university Athletics

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • This role primarily takes place in an office setting
  • Occasional domestic and international travel required

COMPENSATION

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. 

The base pay range for this role is:
$130,000—$150,000 USD
