THE RUNDOWN 
Playfly Sports is looking for a Manager, Sales Pricing & Strategy to join our team in New York, NY.  
 
Sales Pricing & Strategy is a department responsible for oversight of the unwired network media business. Internally, we update and maintain ratecards across all our unwired sports platforms – as well as review and approve all media proposals. We also work closely with Insights to help determine our sales estimates, and well as provide posting information back to sales. Externally, we negotiate and confirm all unwired network business (and some bundle/spot business) with our Regional Sports Networks and team partners. In years where there are active political races, some members of our group (including this open role) are also responsible for placing orders, routing checks, and working closely with finance.   
 
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH  
  • Negotiate unwired business with Regional Sports Networks and team partners  
  • Reviewing linear and digital media proposals  
  • Update internal ratecards and inventory/exclusivity trackers  
  • Collect and provide internal marketplace intel to sales  
  • Provide revenue and sales reports to upper management  
  • Oversee and support planner and assistant as they manage order entry and finance responsibilities   
  • Help develop and brainstorm new processes to help streamline sales  
  • Other job-related duties as assigned 
 
WHAT YOU’LL BRING 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required  
  • 5+ years’ experience in media sales required, including sales negotiations  
  • Political sales experience preferred  
  • Digital sales experience preferred  
  • Expert knowledge of Excel required  
  • Good handle on media math required  
  • Strong communication and multi-tasking skills required  
  • Experience building media proposals preferred  
  • Research/Insights experience, including developing estimate methodology preferred  
  • Wide Orbit experience preferred  
  • Boostr experience preferred 
 
TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS   
  • Minimal travel included (potential annual work offsites, potential to visit other offices across the country, etc).   
  • Role is mainly done at a desk – Our New York Office has sitting/standing convertible desks. Our New York Office is close to multiple forms of public transportation including Penn Station and multiple subway lines. 
 
COMPENSATION 
The pay range for this role is $85,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
