The Vice President, Brand Partnerships is responsible for leading the Brand Partnerships team. The Brand Partnerships department is responsible for generating new business through the procurement of sponsorship and athlete marketing opportunities with national and regional brands. In addition, Brand Partnerships offers a high touch level of service to existing clients and partners. This role will help foster a creative environment that sells integrated partnerships including marquee and tentpole events, athlete-centric marketing campaigns, athlete appearances, branded content, and production services.  The Vice President will be tasked with developing partnership opportunities with national brands, on behalf of our partner Players Associations to better serve the athletes these associations represent, as well as leading management and development of the staff within the Brand Partnerships team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead Brand Partnerships team to achieve and exceed revenue goals and objectives
  • Create a positive sales and service culture for Brand Partnerships
  • Collaborate internally by ensuring cross departmental communication
  • Prospect, research, develop proposals and close sponsorship and athlete marketing deals
  • Present business updates, new opportunities and industry-leading initiatives to management
  • Study current trends, research and identify categories and emerging companies that present new sponsorship opportunities
  • Provide best-in-class client service for all current and prospective partners
  • Ensure partners are meeting the their key performance indicators to set up highest possible renewal of existing clients
  • Work closely with the Integrated Marketing team to develop unique and valuable sponsorship opportunities
  • Create and hold the team accountable to weekly/monthly sales and prospecting goals
  • Diligently drive the Brand Partnerships team to keep accurate records and detailed notes on all existing and prospective client relationships and interactions through provided CRM and through regular communication with team and managers
  • Become an expert of our Player Association partners, consistently identifying best practices and sponsorship opportunities
  • Represent OneTeam Partners at select industry events
  • Seek out leadership and networking events
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Minimum of  8-10 years of successful, high-level national sales and/or agency management experience (sports experience preferred)
  •  Robust network of executive level contacts with both brands and rightsholders
  • Proven leader with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Persuasive presentation and negotiation skills
  • Possesses team-oriented mindset with a healthy competitive drive
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment and lead numerous project at the same time
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs and CRM sales management software
  • Strong strategic and creative “outside of the box” thinker as it pertains to developing marketing and activation campaigns for small, mid and large business partners
  • Strong client management and ability to manage across multiple projects
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business
  • A passion for sports and the athletes who play them, is highly preferred

  • Compensation package includes base salary, annual bonus target and commission, commensurate with experience
