Retail/Licensing: Licensing Sales/Marketing
The Sr. Manager, Retail Development & College Licensing will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key college licensing stakeholders, including licensees, athletes, agents, parents, and more; as well as proactively working with retailers and licensee to maximize sales, creatively using marketing spends, and growing our overall business. This role will work closely with the Vice President of Retail Development and College Licensing to make sure OneTeam delivers on our promise to be a best-in-class licensing agency and exceeds the expectations of our partners. 
 
Primary duties and responsibilities include:  
  • Providing account management for all licensees across our existing college portfolio, as well as any future partners;
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with all assigned licensees;
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for ensuring licensee obligations are exceeded and opportunities are maximized; 
  • Providing licensees with information and updates about our college licensing program;
  • Proactively engaging with licensees in product planning;
  • Managing all assigned licensee artwork approvals;
  • Enforcing IP guidelines, requirements and communicating rights holder(s) preferences to licensees;
  • Analyzing, synthesizing, and summarizing licensee sales and royalty reports;
  • Following-up with licensees on royalty reporting and other housekeeping items when needed;
  • Actively engaging in marketing concept ideation, planning, and review with each licensee to assist with product awareness and sell-through;
  • Tracking and monitoring marketing spend amounts and merchandise credits for each assigned licensee;
  • Managing the renewal process for each assigned licensee in partnership with the VP, Retail Development and College Licensing;
  • Onboarding new licensees to the business
  • Assisting the VP, Retail Development & College Licensing with the implementation of retail programs across all of our partners (PAs and college).
  • Remaining alert to opportunities across all OneTeam business verticals to grow and integrate licensing opportunities; 
  • Providing licensee specific information as requested for internal and external reports (e.g., projections, OKRs, etc.); 
  • Becoming the expert on each assigned licensee’s business and the college licensing category in general;
  • Leveraging category expertise to assist in identifying leads for the business development team to pursue
·       Occasionally traveling to trade shows and industry events;
  • Other projects and duties as assigned 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • 5+ years of experience in an account management role or something similar 
  • Preferred experience in college licensing, sports licensing and/or sports marketing and a general understanding of group player rights 
  • Strong communications skills in written and verbal formats 
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
  • Capable of prioritizing time sensitive initiatives while continuing progress on additional deliverables
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • An interest in sports

  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with licensing and brand management systems (e.g. Brand Comply) preferred
