Purpose: The Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships will serve as a key member of the Strategy and Growth team. This role will focus on managing end-to-end relationships with NFLPA and MLBPA, with the potential to add additional PA partners in the future. This role will focus on developing and maintaining relationships, working across stakeholders to set strategic plans for each PA and ensure each team is executing on that plan, managing all communications with the PAs and key stakeholders, and helping to maximize revenue across PA partners. Additionally, this role will serve as an internal expert on the PA, as well as it’s rights, players, business, and game. This role will be a highly motivated relationship builder, who excels at strategic thinking, problem solving, adaptable communications, and is detail oriented and organized.

Primary duties and responsibilities include:
  • Supports SVP, Strategy and Growth in managing NFLPA and MLBPA relationships including developing strategic plans, creating written communications, managing internal projects, and more
  • Develop relationships and trust with key stakeholders across NFLPA and MLBPA, as well as key stakeholders internally
  • Serve as internal expert on NFLPA and MLBPA for OneTeam Partners teams as it relates to questions or internal brainstorms relating to those rights
  • Facilitate internal meetings for integrated approach to maximizing revenue for the property across all verticals
  • Serve as liaison to deliver final outputs (e.g., finance / invoice reports) for all services provided by OneTeam
  • Develop and manage regular communications and written updates/recaps for rights holders
  • Lead annual partner specific strategic planning
  • Serve as an advocate for PA needs, perspectives, and goals across the organization
  • Support SVP, Strategy and Growth in developing ancillary programming for rights holders and their players
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7-10 years experience managing multiple partners across multiple revenue streams
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written format
  • Adept at developing relationships and addressing disagreements when they arise
  • Strong attention to detail, persistence and follow through
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for sports; advocate for athletes’ writ large and knowledgeable about the sports and athletes that OneTeam works on behalf of, with a focus on NFL and MLB
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including strong critical thinking, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Must be a proactive self-starter capable of self-management and comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and scrappy
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently, but with a firmly held view in success as a team
