Role Summary
The Games Team Intern will support the daily operations of OneTeam’s licensed games portfolio. This part-time, hands-on role offers exposure to video game licensing and partner operations across multiple titles, including console sports simulation games. The intern will help with project tracking, communications, research, and partner support. Successful candidates should have experience playing console sports simulation games and be familiar with their online modes and communities. This role is ideal for a motivated student or recent graduate who is team-oriented, collaborative, open-minded and eager to learn about the gaming industry and OneTeam’s mission.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in scheduling and organizing meetings, taking notes, and preparing status updates
- Partner with Games Team to track milestones, deliverables, and approvals across licensed game projects
- Support internal and external communications, including meeting recaps and document organization
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and market performance to support presentations and reports
- Maintain digital files, decks, and shared resources for the Games team
- Provide feedback on builds or submissions, with guidance from senior staff
- Contribute to deck work for partner updates and internal reviews, building simple slides and tables in Google Slides, PowerPoint, Sheets, or Excel
- Monitor Discord, Reddit, and official channels for leading console sports sims; capture notable themes and links in a weekly “community pulse” note with brief why-it-matters context.
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed degree program (within last 6 to 12 months)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana)
- Experience playing console sports simulation games regularly and familiarity with online modes such as EA SPORTS FC Ultimate Team, Madden Ultimate Team, MLB The Show Diamond Dynasty, or NBA 2K MyCAREER/The City
- Team-oriented, collaborative, open-minded
- Eager to learn about the gaming industry and OneTeam’s mission
Classification & Compensation
Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour
This internship is a temporary, part-time position (15–20 hours per week) for a duration of 3–6 months. It is classified as hourly, non-exempt, and therefore eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. As a temporary, part-time role, this position is not eligible for benefits.
Working Conditions
This internship is an onsite role and will be performed primarily in a professional office environment. Work will include tasks such as data entry, research, meeting support, and consistent communication with internal teams and some external partners. The role involves frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing platforms. Physical demands are minimal and typical of an office-based internship, including extended periods of computer use and occasional handling of light materials (up to 15 lbs, e.g., product samples or office supplies). The intern will work closely with the Games team through in-person check-ins, mentorship, and project-based assignments that support both learning and professional development.
