Location
The preferred locations are Los Angeles, CA, or New York, NY; however, candidates outside these areas will also be considered. Those based in Los Angeles or New York will be expected to work in-office as needed, in coordination with team and business requirements. 

Role Summary 
Reporting to the VP of IP Partnerships & College and working closely with the Sr. Director of Strategy Partnerships, the Associate Manager, Strategic Partnerships will play a key role in OneTeam (OTP) work across our Players Association (PA) partnerships. This role will directly interface with key PA personnel, and similarly with internal OTP commercial teams (Consumer Products, Games and Interactive, and Sponsorship and Partner Marketing), to foster and enhance how OneTeam works on behalf of our PA partners. Acting as the bridge between OTP’s commercial teams and PA partners, the Associate Manager will focus on developing and maintaining relationships, working across stakeholders to set strategic plans, and clearing the path to maximize revenue across PA partners. 

The ideal candidate is extremely detail oriented who excels in both strategic thinking and project management. The Associate Manager, Strategic Partnerships will be a quick learner who can act as an internal expert on PA business and the structure of OneTeam’s rights. This individual will be a team player who is an excellent communicator and meticulously organized. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support partnerships with key Players Association partners (NFLPA, MLBPA, WNBPA, MLSPA, LCSPA/AVPA)
  • Build relationships internally with commercial teams and externally with PA staff to ensure OneTeam is tracking against PA commercial priorities and working most effectively with our partner PAs
  • Organize and distribute agenda items and follow up notes/action items for integrated bi-weekly calls and business-specific calls with PA partners – ensuring visibility across workflows and adding value to PA and commercial team activities 
  • Manage and organize PA-facing trackers, interfacing with internal teams to ensure proper information is shared with the PAs
  • Maintain PA event calendars and key dates; track OTP staff attendance and ticket needs across PA tentpole events
  • Provide operational support to the development of PA Annual Operating Plan process and build strategic decks to communicate/track priorities and key initiatives  
  • Work with appropriate OTP teams to manage business-focused financial reporting to PAs and ensure operational efficiency of royalty reporting in partnership with OneTeam business operations team 
  • Manage creation of, and maintain, documents and shared resources across PAs x OTP teams
  • Act as communication hub for ongoing projects or PA related updates for the OTP teams; tracking due dates and outstanding items needed from PAs and across OTP teams
  • Work on special projects or additional assignments necessary for commercial teams and PA partners

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, sports management, economics, or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience, ideally working in a strategy role, agency/consulting environment, and/or sports marketing partnerships 
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building, and communication abilities (written and verbal)
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset 
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (particularly PowerPoint/Google Slides, Excel/Sheets)
  • Ability to work independently, but with a firmly held view in success as a team 
  • Passion for sports and athlete advocacy

Compensation
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 + bonus opportunity
OneTeam Partners offers a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, supplemental benefits, wellness benefits, paid vacation, and a 401k plan. The above compensation reflects the anticipated salary range for this position based on Los Angeles, CA and current national data. Working Conditions 
This role involves computer-based work, including video conferencing and frequent written and verbal communication with internal teams, game developers, and external partners. Extended periods of sitting and screen time are expected. Semi-regular travel may be required to attend meetings, industry events, or partner visits, which may include standing, walking, or transporting light materials (e.g., laptops, promotional items). The position requires the ability to work across multiple time zones, manage concurrent projects under tight deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role can be remote or based in an office setting, depending on organizational needs.
