Position Summary
The Laketown Squadron are seeking a creative, organized and detail-oriented Social Media and Graphic Design Coordinator to join its growing organization. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who can help elevate the team’s brand through compelling visual storytelling and engaging digital content.
This role will play an integral part in managing and growing the team’s social media presence while developing creative assets that support marketing initiatives, ticket sales campaigns and corporate partnerships. The candidate should have strong graphic design and video editing skills, thrive in a fast-paced sports environment, and consistently deliver high-quality creative work while meeting tight deadlines.
Working closely with the Manager, Marketing and collaborating with the New Orleans Pelicans’ marketing and social teams, this position will help shape the visual identity of the Laketown Squadron across digital platforms, game presentation and community initiatives.
What You’ll Be Doing / Responsibilities
Social Media and Content Creation
• Assist in the planning, creation and execution of content across all Laketown Squadron social media platforms — including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram and TikTok.
• Capture photo and video content during practices, games and team events.
• Edit and produce engaging video and graphic content optimized for social platforms.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the team’s social media calendar.
• Plan and execute in-game social media coverage, including shot lists and content strategies.
• Capture real-time social media content during home games and assist with away game coverage strategies.
• Monitor trends and recommend creative content ideas to increase engagement and fan interaction.
Graphic Design and Creative Development
• Assist in developing visually compelling graphics that strengthen the Laketown Squadron brand.
• Assist in creating marketing graphics for ticket sales campaigns, promotions and fan engagement initiatives.
• Assist in designing creative assets for corporate partnership proposals, sponsorship activations and presentations.
Game Presentation and In-Arena Content
• Assist with the development and execution of in-game graphics and video content for arena video boards and digital displays.
• Assist in creating motion graphics, animations and video edits that enhance the game-day fan experience.
• Work closely with the game presentation team to assist in preparing creative assets used during games, including player introductions, prompts, promotions and sponsor elements
What You’ll Bring:
- • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience creating social media and/or graphic design content (sports experience preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro (After Effects is a plus).
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics for social media and digital platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail and visual storytelling ability.
• Ability to balance long-term planning with real-time execution in a fast-paced sports environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team environment
